Core Responsibilities
- Lead the Product Quality Engineering Team/s, ensuring that all Quality Engineering activities are completed within set timelines and in accordance with VitalHub’s expected standards.
- Oversee daily workflow and schedules of the assigned team.
- Collaborate with the Quality Engineering Leadership and the members of Product QE team in terms of performance evaluation and career growth of current team members.
- For each software version/release, documents and disseminates a Quality Engineering Release Note, in accordance with Vitalhub standards.
- Analyze documented requirements and functional specifications, or documented bug descriptions and expected behaviors, and create test plans.
- Contribute to and participate in automated, performance and security testing activities within the product, as the implementation of automated testing allows for the assigned product. This includes amending existing automated test cases and contributing to Behavior Driven Development (BDD) documents as required.
- Participation in regular team stand-ups/statuses, weekly Product Platform/Agile sessions, general corporate and team meetings as and when requested.
- Contribute to Quality Engineering training material for their assigned product, or previously assigned products (if re-assigned), ensuring that product and testing knowledge can be properly handed off to newly assigned staff.
- Provide guidance and expertise when called upon for key product functions or technical aspects, participating in design sessions, training activities or customer implementations when called upon.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in Software Quality Engineering.
- A solid practical understanding of Agile Software Quality Assurance and Software Engineering concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues on the applications and their environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualification Board) Certification would be an added advantage.
- Experience in Security Testing/ Performance Testing will be an added advantage.
