Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in the food ingredients industry. As the Business Development Manager/Executive, you will play a crucial role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, fostering relationships with key clients, and driving growth in the food ingredients sector. Your in-depth knowledge of the food industry, combined with your exceptional sales and negotiation skills, will enable you to contribute to the success of our organization.


Responsibilities:

1. Identify and analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities in the food ingredients industry.

2. Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our customer base and increase market share.

3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders, effectively representing our company's products and services.

4. Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and provide insights to internal teams for product development and improvement.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, R&D, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of business strategies and meet customer requirements.

6. Negotiate and close business deals, including pricing agreements, contracts, and long-term partnerships, while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.

7. Regularly monitor and evaluate sales performance, track market trends, and provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management.

8. Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and establish industry partnerships.

9. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, certifications, and quality standards relevant to food ingredients.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

2. Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management roles within the food ingredients industry.

3. Strong knowledge of food ingredients, including their applications, sourcing, and market dynamics.

4. Demonstrated ability to generate new business leads, build and maintain relationships, and close deals.

5. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.

6. Strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify growth opportunities, analyse market data, and develop effective business strategies.

7. Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

9. Familiarity with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and certifications in the food industry is advantageous.
