Junior javascript and wordpress developer for remote healthtech company

We are seeking a highly skilled WordPress developer with JavaScript experience to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our WordPress websites and implementing interactive features. You will also be involved with internal javascript projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences and ensure the optimal performance of our websites.

- 3 - 5 years of experience required
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Customize existing themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure websites function flawlessly across various devices.
- Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and modules as needed.
- Develop interactive and dynamic web applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- 2 - 3 years experience required
- Implement front-end functionalities and features, such as user authentication, form validation, and data manipulation.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end and back-end functionalities seamlessly.
Technical Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates of existing WordPress websites.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues related to WordPress, JavaScript, and front-end development.
- Monitor and improve website performance, including page load speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve development processes.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with designers, UI/UX experts, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into functional websites.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and opportunities effectively to the team and project managers.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer and JavaScript Developer.
- Strong proficiency in WordPress development, including custom theme, plugin development and SEO.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
- Experience with responsive design principles and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
- Solid understanding of JavaScript frameworks and libraries, specifically MEAN stack.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
