About the Role:
We are
looking for Senior Engineers with minimum 4 years of Microsoft and
fullstack experience to join our exciting and rapidly expanding team in
Sri Lanka. This position is a hands-on development role where you will
be responsible for the development of Wiley’s Research, Education and
Corporate Learning platforms. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge
of Microsoft technologies to work closely with architects, engineers,
and product owners to create complex applications. You will also ensure
your commitment to the highest quality standards both in functional and
non-functional areas.
You’ll be a dedicated, detail-oriented
Full Stack Microsoft Developer to join our research department. In this
role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing
a variety of technical solutions to meet our departments needs. You
will work with a cross-functional team, driving innovation and
efficiency in our research efforts.
How you will make an impact:
- Develop, implement, and manage software solutions using Microsoft technologies.
- Provide technical leadership, including team management, analysis, and documentation.
- Leverage your deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles to create efficient and scalable solutions.
- Utilize your experience in Classic ASP, VB Script, CSS, Bootstrap, JSON, and JavaScript to deliver high-quality user interfaces.
- Maintain and manage code with GitHub and Visual Studio IDE.
- Develop and deploy applications using AWS and IIS, ensuring seamless operation across SQL Server and Elastic Search databases.
- Ensure proper Windows Server setup and configuration for optimal performance.
- Build accessible, well-structured HTML5 and ARIA-compliant interfaces.
- Provide clear, concise communication to team members and stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned and informed.
What we look for:
- Extensive experience with C#, XML, XSLT, and .NET Core.
- Strong knowledge of OOP and OOD principles.
- Prior experience with Classic ASP, VB Script, CSS, Bootstrap, GitHub, Visual Studio IDE, JSON, and JavaScript.
- Experience with MVC Framework, AWS, IIS, SQL Server, and Elastic Search.
- Familiarity with Windows Server setup and configuration.
- Solid understanding of HTML5 and accessibility ARIA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented setting.
- Following are the added advantages
- Knowledge of Progressive Web Apps and ColdFusion.
- Experience with CloudFront, Dynatrace, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Basic knowledge of Java.
- Familiarity with Dependency Injection and Module Patterns in JavaScript.
- Understanding other design patterns is advantageous.
