Position - Video Editor
Andro Dollar Tech YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/androdollar) is hiring a talented Video Editor. You will work closely with the producer to edit and enhance their footage, as well as add music, graphics, effects, and subtitles. You will also be responsible for uploading and optimizing the videos on YouTube, ensuring that they meet the platform’s standards and guidelines.
Video editing to be done in Final Cut Pro X. Having Graphic Design abilities is a bonus. MacBook Pro will be provided for editing.
Salary and other benefits can be discussed based on experience. Interns are also considered.
Some of the responsibilities for this job are:
- Reviewing raw footage and selecting the best shots and scenes
- Editing video clips according to the script, storyboard or outline
- Adding transitions, titles, captions, animations and other visual elements
- Adjusting the audio levels, sound effects and music tracks
- Applying color correction, filters and other enhancements (when needed)
- Creative approach on videos and thumbnails
- Editing short-form videos out of each long video
- Attending tech events and providing coverage when required
- Staying updated with the latest trends, techniques and best practices in video editing and YouTube
Requirements:
- Proven Final Cut Pro X knowledge or equivalent video editing and graphic design skills.
- Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing skills and creativity.
- Proficiency in other editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop is an added advantage
- Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles.
- Interest to improve skills and doing better with each video
- Effective communication skills for collaborative interactions with cross-functional teams and incorporating feedback.
- Additional experience in videography and photography is a plus.
- Having your own editing machine is an added advantage.
