DevOps Engineer

Position - DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team, As the Cloud DevOps engineer you will work within an agile team of Engineers and Operations personnel building highly resilient, scalable and performant GCP infrastructure in an automated and efficient manner. The DevOps engineers will work alongside the Application DevOps teams and cross-functional IT teams. The engineers will be required to use their initiative to innovate to achieve maximum performance and be prepared to investigate and use new products/services offered by GCP.

Responsibilities

• Configuration of Google Cloud Platform services

• Development and monitoring of infrastructure (test and production environments)

• Identifying and solving problems performance- and security-related

• Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance for our applications

• Proposing and implementing repetitive tasks automation

• Collaborating with other team members on task development and implementation

• Providing support for development teams in deployment-related topics

• Collaborating with and supporting data science, marketing, and customer success teams in data acquisition and tool integration

Technical Skills

• Proven experience in being responsible for delivering cloud based devOps projects as well as nurturing a small to medium size team of engineers
• Cloud Services: GCP / Google Cloud Platform
• CI/CD pipelining: Jenkins
• Programming/Scripting: Python/ Go/ Groovy/Bash/PowerShell
• Automation: Ansible
• Containers: Docker/Kubernetes / K8 / GKE (advanced)
• IaC: Terraform
• Appetite for learning new technologies
• Ability to continuously learn and make choices with minimal supervision
• Curiosity - Bring fresh ideas to the team and wider firm be it new software or containerisation of existing infrastructure and projects
• Strong awareness of security considerations and security tools used to integrate with the build pipeline covering OWASP top 10
• Passionate about driving our clients to a true modern DevOps culture

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience delivering applications to production and supporting them

• Professional certifications with GCP is a plus

• Experience in creating and managing Docker-based containers

• Experience in configuring Kubernetes-based solutions and clusters

• Fluency in English is a plus
