Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Experience Designer to work in the Digital Solutions group.
Experience
Designers contribute to customer experience design solutions for
digital products and services that align user needs with business goals.
Applies fundamental interaction design principles, standards, and
concepts to perform research and synthesis, prototyping, validation, and
support tasks. Participates as a contributor in cross-functional teams
for projects of varying complexity and size. Presents designs and key
milestone deliverables to peers, managers, and occasionally executive
level stakeholders, typically under the direction of a manager or senior
level designer. They bring fresh perspectives to evolve existing
solutions and create new products and services for the many actors in
the digital FinTech industry.
Experience Required
- 4+ years as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role
- Experience working with IT developers/technology teams
- Experience working with clients and stakeholders to gather business objectives and detailed requirements
- Experience with UX research techniques to uncover user needs, goals, and motivations
- Experience presenting design recommendations with internal & external stakeholders based on business goals, user research, and user-centered design principles
- Experience
in using UX design best practices to design solutions and a solid
understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
Preferred
- Financial Services or Healthcare (or similarly complex) industry experience
- Design standards or systems
Qualifications Required
- A degree in Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Service Design, Visual Design, HCI, or related fields
- Ability to think both analytically and creatively to break down complex problems to generate creative solutions
- A collaborative and continual-learning mindset
- Understanding of UX research & testing best practices for usability and accessibility
- Understanding of web technologies, patterns, & standards, particularly in mobile responsiveness & accessibility
- Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences using design tools such as journey maps, storyboards, task flows, diagrams, wireframes and specs, and presentations
- Proficiency in design and prototyping software such as UXPin, Balsamiq, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent tools
Preferred
- Masters in Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Service Design, Visual Design, HCI, or related fields
- Strong graphic & visual design skills
