Position - Accountant
We currently have a vacancy for the post of Accountant at our Company which is based in Colombo 03.
- Professional/Academic Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Management or final qualification in CA/CIMA/ACCA
- 03 to 05 years of experience in the Commercial Sector is essential
- Excellent knowledge in Accounting & Financial Principles
- Computer Literacy in Accounting Packages and also MS Office
- Should be good in writing and spoken English
- Good Interpersonal and Negotiating skills, Responsible and Performance oriented
- Must be a keen and quick learner – ability to work independently in an unsupervised environment
Key Responsibilities:-
- Preparation and management of monthly, quarterly and annual Financials of the Group
- Processing of Payroll
- Monitoring payable and receivable functions of the business
- Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes
- Liaise with banks, auditors, secretaries, tax consultants and other authorities
- Responsible for maintaining cash books, relevant ledgers, bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flows etc.
- Analyzing and Recommending initiatives for continuous process improvement to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the existing operations
- Maintain high level of integrity
