Position - Assistant Manager Finance
The company seeks a suitable candidate to fill the position of Assistant Manager- Finance. He/ She will be responsible for the financial planning function and the position will be based in Kaduwela.
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Review of all GL accounts (PL accounts and BS) and ensure that all adjustments to books are made before the Best Estimate (Monthly)
- Timely preparation of financial statements for management reporting and statutory reporting
- Finalize all Bank Reconciliations on the first working day of the Month with 100% accuracy of bank balance with the books.
- Maintenance of FA register, Review the CAPEX requests before sending for approvals and monitoring of the CAPEX budget.
- Timely completion of VAT computation including RAMIS schedules and submission for tax team review
- Manage the budgetary controls, forecasting, and planning.
- Preparation of draft income tax computation and submit for tax team review by the end of each month
- Preparation of frequent cash flow forecast, and any other ad hock reports requested by the management
- Maintain good relationships with the Banks and other financial authorities for timely foreign currency management.
- Manage treasury function by providing all treasury information related to investments, bank loans, loan interests & foreign creditors & debtors
Required qualifications and skills:
- Member of a Professional Accounting Body (CASL ACCA or CIMA) and should possess a degree from a recognized University
- Over 3 years of post-qualifying experience
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant financial experience preferably in a FMCG Company
- Sound knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SAP ERP system
- Sound communication in the English language and good presentation skills
- Broad understanding of the financial behavior of a manufacturing company
