Position - Database Engineer
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Database Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our database systems, specifically focusing on Huawei GuassDB for DWS. The candidate should have experience with NoSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL is required.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems using Huawei GuassDB for DWS.
- Develop and maintain kash scripts to automate database operations and improve efficiency.
- Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and schema design.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement database requirements.
- Monitor and maintain database backups, replication, and disaster recovery processes.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in database management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience as a Database Engineer, with a focus on Data mining, Data warehousing & database administration.
- Strong expertise in kash scripting and experience in migration Huawei DWS
- Hands on advance experience in SQL scripting, query optimization.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), MySQL, MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with data modeling and ETL processes.
- Experience with database backup, and replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience with Azure, AWS & Huawei cloud services will be an added advantage
