Job summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical intern to join our team as an Intern for Business Intelligence & Support. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business intelligence, data analysis, business support, and contribute to key projects within our organization. The selected candidate will work closely with key stakeholders across the organization, assisting in data collection, analysis, reporting and providing valuable insights to support decision-making.
Job Responsibilities:
Data Collection: Collaborate with various departments to gather and compile relevant data from different sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Data Analysis: Assist in analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights, helping to derive actionable recommendations.
Reporting: Create and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports using data visualization tools such as Excel, and Power BI, ensuring data is presented in a clear and understandable format.
Support: Provide support to the team in maintaining data quality, data cleansing, and data enrichment efforts.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, methodologies, and analysis processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and provide relevant insights.
Presentation: Prepare and assist in presenting data-driven insights to team members and stakeholders.
Ad-hoc Tasks: Support the team on other areas as and when required.
Learning and Development: Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in data analysis and business intelligence.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field AND/OR CIMA/ACCA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerBI).
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools like Excel, SQL, Python, or R would be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment
