Position - Software Engineer - Java
DirectPay, a fin-tech startup in the financial services industry in Sri Lanka has been producing the best caliber total software solutions for banks and other institutes. We are specialized in embedded and unique software in the payments domain.
We are seeking a talented and experienced software developer with expertise in ISO8583 (financial transaction messages) who aligns with the following profile.
What you will be doing,
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable applications using Java and ISO8583
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient codes
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
What we are looking for,
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any related field
- 3+ years of experience in Java development
- Experience in ISO8583
- Strong understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms
- Good understanding of web services, APIs, and databases
- Experience in the payment industry is an added advantage
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
