We are looking for passionate and energetic individuals who would like to play an important part of a newly formed setup to unlock business value using data analytics and to foster good data governance practices. The setup would be of high intensity, providing an opportunity to get exposed to multiple industries and solve challenging business problems with the power of data and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Work on data models, data storage, cleansing, validation, integration, transformation & migration to manage data within the organisation
• Design, develop, test, tune & implement database objects and any supporting T-SQL scripts using Microsoft SQL Server
• Develop & execute ETL solutions to migrate data between disparate applications
• Automate data processing tasks by writing scripts, functions & automated task jobs
• Explore suitable options, design & create data pipelines for specific analytical & BI solutions
• Design & develop data governance practices & artefacts that span across data quality, data dictionaries, business glossaries, data standards & policies

Skills & Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Data Analytics. Other relevant qualifications with a significant component in data engineering would be considered. Completion of relevant MOOCs would be advantageous.
• Experience in using SQL & MS SQL Server in production environments and in using ETL tools. Candidates with less experience could be considered for more junior roles in Data Engineering
• Ability to understand & compose complex queries in SQL
• Ability to trace data flows across complex data structures, databases, and/or data warehouse(s)
• Ability to write, edit & tune stored procedures, functions, triggers & views
• Good knowledge of database schema design, relational data models & web service integration
