Position - Game Developer
The Role
Matific is seeking Software Engineers / Senior Software Engineers - Game Development (Unity3D) to build our first game development team in our Colombo office, as part of our cutting-edge existing global EdTech group.
This will involve working closely with our product and development teams to create interactive 3D games to make learning Maths an interesting experience for students worldwide. Given the start-up nature of the company, you will need to be flexible and inventive in the delivery of your outcomes.

Responsibilities include:
- Be responsible for frontend and backend design and implementation of a great product!
- Work as part of an agile team, delivering great quality.
- Design, implement and innovate features, with cutting-edge technologies.
- Collaborating with other teams inside Matific, such as: R&D, product, Marketing and Content and Game designers located in Israel and globally
Requirements;
- Bsc in Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 2+ years of hands-on experience in software development (Server and client)
- At least 1+ years of experience in Game Development with Unity3D
- Good understanding of game development technologies
- Experience building user interfaces for medium/large games and/or web applications
- Experience designing and developing server-side for games, and client-server communication
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Passion for education and games
- Team player with a 'can-do' attitude
- Eager to take on a responsibility and Passion for quality
