Zebra Technologies Inc is a global leader in enterprise asset intelligence, mobile computing, data capture, Radio Frequency Identification products (RFID), Internet of Things (IoT), real time locating systems and designing and marketing specialty printers .

Zebra’s wholly owned subsidiary in Sri Lanka, Zebra Technologies Lanka (Private) Limited is looking for competent, dynamic and self-motivated engineers to its state-of-the art Software R&D center in Colombo.

The purpose of this internship is to prepare university undergraduates for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge. Project work will differ in each area depending on business needs. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

Responsibilities

• Be part of a team delivering world class enterprise software solutions.
• Learn device communication on USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC etc.
• Opportunity to work with Zebra devices such as RFID readers, Barcode Scanners, Mobile computers, and Machine Vision technologies.
• Gain programming skills in C/C++, Swift, Objective C, Java .Net C#, Python etc.
• Opportunity to work on many OS platform Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, RTOS
• Exposure to every phase of SDLC
• Use of industry best practices, tools, and cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Understanding of basic data structures and algorithms.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate as part of a team.
