Position - Intern Video Editor
Digital Novelty is an agency that focuses on bringing pristine marketing techniques in order to ignite customer loyalty and attract new customers. We aim to build a platform where media is used to create a bond with customers, making them feel valued by the business and resulting in loyalty towards the brand.
Role Description
This is a contract, remote role for an Intern Video Editor at DigitalNovelty. The Intern Video Editor will be responsible for assisting and supporting the video editing team in all aspects of post-production, including logging, editing, color correcting, and sound design. The Intern Video Editor will collaborate with a team of editors and producers to deliver high-quality projects within specified deadlines and will assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer
- Knowledge of color grading, sound design, motion graphics, and visual effects
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and independently
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction from project managers
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in film, video production, or a related field
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience with transcription and subtitling is a plus
- Interest in marketing and advertising is a plus
- Editing video footage to create polished and engaging content.
- Collaborating with the creative team to understand project requirements and visions.
- Utilizing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar for video editing.
- Adding special effects, transitions, and other post-production elements.
- Ensuring the final product aligns with the intended message and style.
- Managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
- Providing input on the shooting/scripting of footage when necessary.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest video editing technologies and techniques.
