Position - Junior HR Services Specialist

The Junior HR Services Specialist’s role is to provide HR services support on global HR projects including transition activities. The Junior HR Services Specialist will help to deliver a seamless employee experience and ensure that our company values are embedded in everything we do.


Please note: the successful incumbent will need to work UK shifts 2-3 days a week – please do not apply unless you can commit to this.


Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives within the HR Services team as designated by HRSS Senior Lead & Global Head of HR Services
  • Work closely on global HR projects supporting HR Services Specialist
  • Reviewing global and local HR user guides and SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) to support consistent delivery of services at all times, ensuring all process changes in respect of transitions are captured accurately
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement of process maps and HR operational processes, where applicable
  • Pro-actively make recommendations for changes in process where time savings, cost efficiencies and/or smoother operations are identified
  • Actively contribute to project team meetings, providing suggestions to streamline activities within the HRSS team and, from time to time, where relevant, the overall HR Services team
  • Become and serve as an SME in all areas of HR Shared Services Centre
  • Requirements gathering & gap analysis for global locations to centralise HR administrative activities in liaison with HR Services Specialist
  • Have a positive and “can-do” attitude, willing to jump in and support where needed
  • Actively make suggestions for improvements to HR info on company intranet (MyIFS).

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • Strong desire to continue to pursue and excel in a HR career
  • Ability to problem solve and work collaboratively with colleagues across global time zones
  • Superb attention to detail and ability to consistently work to and meet deadlines
  • Experience working with HR Software and some technical abilities
  • A team player and strong collaborator, who is comfortable in ever-changing deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Comfortable to create and deliver presentations to management and groups
  • Knowledge of Visio would be highly beneficial
  • Evidence of self-motivation and a proactive approach
  • Exceptional accuracy skills and must be well organized
  • Ability to multitask and rise to the challenge of higher volumes of work during peak periods of HR project activity
  • Ability to deal with conflicting priorities
  • Structured approach towards problem solving, assimilates information and identifies the pertinent points quickly
  • Demonstrated initiative, judgment and maturity, deals with confidential information with the utmost discretion, respect, and care

Qualifications

  • University Degree preferred although actual experience in HR Administration or HR Operations is essential.

Additional Information

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in HR Admin, HR Operations or HR Project roles.
