We are looking for a motivated, humble, tenacious, and goal-oriented individual, who has already demonstrated their ability to work individually and as a team player, to drive Daraz’s new fintech venture, Koko in Sri Lanka. Koko is a Buy Now Pay Later payment platform incubated under Daraz and was founded in Sri Lanka in 2020. We are passionate about evolving the merchant and consumer shopping experience by providing our customers with an easy, interest-free payment plan. Koko will be completely free for customers who pay on time – helping people spend responsibly without incurring interest, fees, or extended debt. Koko empowers customers to access the things they want and need, while still allowing them to maintain financial wellness and control, by splitting payments in three, for both online and in-store purchases. To support our ambitious growth plans, we’re looking for smart, collaborative, and passionate people who are looking to make a genuine impact in Sri Lanka’s financial and retail ecosystem.



Our team is looking for Commercial Intern who matches the following job role:

  • Manage the complete seller Journey experience, performance, and engagement of the Non-key accounts.
  • Seller training and familiarization for both instore/ online merchants (End to end merchant portal/ Order processing / Test order training).
  • Mainly involved in campaign push, seller tools adaption, and their daily sale performance.
  • Build clear education plans for sellers in order to combat knowledge gaps.
  • Develop a strategy to Activate sellers who have been inactive for more than 2 months.
  • Clean up the Autopilot dead sellers who are inactive for more than 90 days.


Job requirements would include:

  • Completed or following a Bachelor of Business Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Freshers who have an interest in the Fintech industry are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala (Tamil would be an added advantage).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Advance working knowledge in Excel) and Google Applications.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Energetic, Ambitious, detailed oriented, and with good reporting skills, with a ‘can-do’ mindset and ready to learn on the job and take on challenges.
