We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Devops Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have to contribute to the Technology Operations team and ensure the security, availability and operation of the organisation's IT infrastructure and systems ("IT Services"). Provide expertise to ensure 99.99x% uptime of the production and non-production environments. Perform duties to deploy our software products. Build and maintain our environments across multiple cloud computing environments.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor our computing, network, security and supporting systems to meet the organisation's current and future requirements
- Monitor systems and proactively identify performance issues
- Adhere to quality; test all changes to networks, software, and hosted cloud computing applications
- Maintain a good working knowledge of current infrastructure, development suites and cloud trends
- Work with other teams and 3rd party vendors when required to address hardware, OS, network and application-level issues; play the role of coordinator and issue owner
- Proactive analysis of statistics and incident trends with a view towards continuous improvement.
- Participate in various project related activities as assigned by team manager
- Follow internal IT operations standards, policies and guidelines
- Develop and maintain appropriate technical support documentation, technology operations manual, network design, and configuration management
- Professionally represent the Operations Team as a technical lead/ consultant on projects and with clients
- Work within tight time frames to deliver outcomes
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 3+ years IT operations and/or IT Application support experience.
- Experience in deploying, managing, operating and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure based environments.
- High level of competency with Linux based environments.
- Experience with Kubernetes / Redhat OpenShift.
- Experience supporting Java based applications.
- Experience with Agile/ Kanban; SCRUM certification desirable
- BSc degree in Computer Science or other relevant Computer Engineering discipline.
