Responsibilities
- Provide tier three support for data related issues and help troubleshoot client problems where required
- Perform root cause analysis on production data issues and resolve accordingly
- Maintaining, improving and optimizing ETL pipelines across a range of technologies
- Identifying and logging bugs relating to data processing
- Review views, stored procedures, statements and user-defined functions of varying complexity in SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and T-SQL. Identifying problems and recommending solutions
- Identifying data related issues and resolving and documenting the fixes appropriately
- Adhere to all documentation, repository management and quality standards laid out by the data support team. Ensuring code is maintained, optimized, efficient and concise.
- Maintain the support backlog, including updating all tickets to the documented standard.
- Work with other departments to ensure existing applications and issues are being resolved in a timely and acceptable manner based on priority.
- Solve problems with an inquisitive and innovative mind, take on new challenges, staying abreast of new and emerging technologies, Strong communication skills – written and verbal
- 1-3 years of experience with exposure to SQL Server in the context of data engineering and data support.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Certification in Computer Science/Information Technology with a focus on data engineering preferred
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server - T-SQL
- Experience with Business Intelligence - SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience with Git
