RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Defining and governing architectural standards for web front-end applications
  • Conducting code reviews, providing architectural guidance to front-end engineering teams
  • Driving improvements in code reuse, modularity, and maintainability
  • Gradually converting monolithic ReactJS web applications into a micro-frontend architecture
  • Proposing plans/roadmaps for incremental improvement of application performance, developer productivity and the technology stack
  • Improving the development processes, cloud and CI/CD setup for our web applications
  • Building strong relationships across the Sysco hierarchy and mentoring US and SL based team members

REQUIREMENTS

  • A first degree in Computer Science or IT from a recognized foreign or local university; a relevant master’s degree will be an added qualification
  • A minimum of ten years of work experience with at least 5 years in a senior technical role.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining Single-Page Web Applications for large groups of contributing developers
  • Expertise in Web technologies such as React JS, Redux, NodeJS and NextJS and Web Components
  • Experience working with Server-Side Rendering, Micro-Frontends and Search Engine Optimization can be an added advantage
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly propose and articulate architecture and technology decisions
