Associate Security Engineer

What you will do in this role:

• You own, investigate, and solve customer technical issues collaborating within and across teams and leveraging troubleshooting tools and practices.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting all installed systems and infrastructure; installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Work with team to meet or exceed SLA commitments
• Collaborate and coordinate closely with senior technical and field services personnel, and customer IT technical staff when needed.
• Compiling documentation, reports and delivering presentations to staff members and other stakeholders.
• Develop specific technical and professional proficiency to enable you to understand and resolve customer issues, through training, certifications and readiness.
• Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Microsoft-based security systems, including Microsoft Defender, Azure Security Center, and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents across Microsoft cloud environments, on-premises, and hybrid solutions.
• Participate in the implementation of security measures to protect information systems using Microsoft security frameworks and tools.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology (IT), or related field
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft security tools and technologies such as Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra, and Microsoft Intune.
• Understanding and basic knowledge on vulnerability assessment tools, automation, PowerShell and Kusto (KQL).
• Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills-both oral and written.
• Strong learning skills to demonstrate fast adoption of new technologies.

• Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to do the right thing under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Working late hours and weekends would be required as part of 24×7 engineering team on roster basis.
