Responsibilities
- Conducting defect triage meetings and providing details of defects to the team
- Writing test cases, executing tests and recording results
- Responsible for all aspects of quality assurance through manual testing
- Monitoring and debugging issues in both staging and production environments
- Manual testing of front-end, API and back-end layers
- Building and executing detailed test plans from functional requirements
- Creating accurate and concise bug reports.
Requirements
- 5+ years of quality testing experience required
- A bachelor's degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
- The ability to work independently across multiple projects, and to meet deadlines
- The ability to rapidly grasp and apply complex business and technical concepts
- Entrepreneurial in your approach and able to work with minimal supervision
- Must have a sound understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Postgres/MySQL database testing experience
- CSS, HTML, JavaScript front-end testing experience
- Expert with JIRA or similar bug tracking tool
- Experience testing REST APIs
- Unix shell basics
- Some programming knowledge; especially Java or Angular.
