AUTOMATION ENGINEER
As the Automation Engineer your responsibilities will include:
- l Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes through methodical and analytical means
- l Design, implement, commission, and manage automation projects in a timely and planned manner, fulfilling the requirements with clearly defined scope, specifications, end results, and timelines
- l Develop, monitor, and maintain SCADA systems and other data acquisition, processing, and monitoring systems
- l Maintain the functionality and performance of automation systems by conducting preventive and planned maintenance and introducing test methods
- l Conduct user training on equipment conditions, operating conditions and autonomous maintenance of automation systems
- l Prepare and maintain design drawings, reports and supporting documents for the sustainability and future improvements of automation systems
The ideal candidate should:
- l A bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification
- l Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the field of automation
- l Experience in machine design with a solid foundation in stress/strain analysis
- l Expertise in SolidWorks
- l Knowledge in designing for manufacturing
- l Knowledge and experience in pneumatics, SCADA, Embedded/ PLC control systems and instrumentation. Experience in Siemens and Schneider products is a plus
- l Knowledge and experience in robotics
- l Knowledge of other programming languages is an added advantage
- l Practical experience with project/operations and maintenance management processes
- l A self-driven mentality with a high level of critical thinking
