Job Description

The IT Intern will assist the IT Service Management team in providing technical support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. Responsibilities include responding to user queries, running diagnostic programs, and implementing solutions under guidance. The intern will participate in installations and configurations of workstations, network devices, and other IT equipment. The intern will gain experience in providing support for software applications to users. Additionally, the intern will contribute to research and development activities aimed at improving the working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist for smooth functioning of IT-related operations in all LAUGFS group of companies
  • Operating a service desk to resolve day-to-day IT-related issues for all end users via the ITSM system while maintaining service levels
  • Handling Security Centre (Virus Guard) for the end-users to the full fill the security requirements.
  • Software and Hardware Troubleshooting
  • Maintain Head Office PABX system
  • Assist for the distribution of Daily, Monthly and data backup tapes from Head Office to the outside store locations.
  • Maintenance of the IT asset inventory. Ensure IT asset inventory is tally with the Fixed Assets Register
  • Update newly purchased IT related equipment inventories to IMS and distribute that equipment to the end users / relevant locations
  • Maintain Head Office Manage Printer Solutions
  • Maintain and Check the functionality of the meeting room
  • Maintain close cooperation and coordination with relevant IT equipment providers, internet service providers, IT service providers, and IT organizations

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Information Technology
  • Vendor Certification in Microsoft/Cisco/Linux or any other related
  • ITIL Certification will be added advantage
